"The 2008 La Fontana is rich and jammy... Dark and ripe black fruit dominate with nuances of blackberries cassis tobacco and eucalyptus. The Merlot provides velvety ripe tannins and dense mouth feel while the Cabernet Sauvignon adds bramble an herbal aromatics as well as softness. Malbec and Petit Verdot round out the blend adding depth and an exotic undertone. The result is a sumptuous red wine that is fat and supple yet quite age-worthy for at least the next 10 years.
